Everything people ask before booking.
If something isn't here, ask me directly — I answer these myself and I'd rather you booked with the doubts already dealt with. Get in touch.
The method
What is PSYCH-K® in one sentence?
A structured process that uses a muscle-test for feedback and a short whole-brain balance to change a specific subconscious belief, agreed with you beforehand.
Is it hypnosis?
No. You're awake, aware, and in the conversation the whole time. Nothing is suggested to you that you haven't chosen and worded yourself.
What is the muscle test actually doing?
Giving us feedback. It isn't a lie detector and I don't present it as science — it's a practical signal for whether a statement is being held with resistance, and for knowing when a balance is complete.
Where's the evidence?
PSYCH-K® is not a clinically validated treatment and I won't claim otherwise. What exists is a large body of practitioner and client experience over thirty-plus years. Judge it on your own result in one session, not on my description of it.
Is it religious or spiritual?
It doesn't require any belief system, and I don't bring one. If a spiritual frame matters to you it fits comfortably; if it doesn't, nothing is missing.
Sessions & booking
Online or in person — does it matter?
The work is the same. Online, I'll teach you to self-test in the first few minutes. Most of my clients are online; some prefer the room the first time.
How many sessions, honestly?
One is enough for something specific. A long-standing pattern usually has two or three beliefs propping it up, which is why the three-session package exists. I won't sell you a fourth you don't need.
How far apart should they be?
A week or two. Enough time for the change to show up in real situations, not so long that you lose the thread.
What if I feel nothing?
Common, and not a failure. Quiet shifts often surface days later in a decision you'd normally have talked yourself out of. If nothing has moved at all, tell me and we'll look at whether we had the right belief.
Payment and cancellation?
Paid at booking, in Canadian dollars. Move or cancel free up to 24 hours before; inside that the session is charged because the time was held. Full policy on the policies page.
Whether it's right for you
I'm already seeing a therapist.
That's fine, and often a good combination. Tell your therapist you're doing this. I'm not trying to replace clinical work and I'll say so if I think that's what you need.
I have a diagnosed condition, or I'm on medication.
Facilitation isn't treatment and it changes nothing about your care. Never adjust medication because of a session. Keep your doctor in the loop.
Do I have to talk about my trauma?
No. We work with the belief an experience left behind, not the experience. You decide how much detail you give, and you can give none.
I'm sceptical.
Good. Scepticism doesn't stop the process working and it makes you a better judge of whether anything actually changed. Come once and decide.
Do you work with teenagers?
From sixteen, with a parent or guardian's consent and present for the first session. Below that, get in touch and I'll point you to someone better suited.
Still deciding? Ask me the awkward one.
